Jangid Community

We are a sub-sect of the Vishwakarmas in Rajasthan who have traditionally created beautiful idols, chariots and other wooden carvings. We are also called Barhai, Panchali Brahmin, Chowrasia, Jangid Brahmin, Khati Kolash and Tarkhan. According to traditional belief, Vishwabrahmins are descended from the five sons of Lord Vishwakarma.
